2010 - On the 2nd of January 2010 the club moved its assets from its old location at Goosey Lodge Farm to its new site and now the build begins.
Inline with the work undertaken at Goosey Lodge the club are in discussions with the local council and the Noise Survey which was carried out during the 2009 British Grand Prix for the application that was in for Goosey Lodge confirms that the club confirms to all current noise legislation.
The club anticipates reopening in the summer with its own summer series but prior to this building work needs to be undertaken.
2004 - 2009 Goosey Lodge Farm Estate
Up until the serving of the evicition notice the club had spent 5 happy years on the Goosey Lodge Estate.
During the time at Goosey the club had built up a following of large scale, 1/8th and 1/10th and was regarded as one of the best all weather venues for RC racing in the UK following its all weather makeover in 2008.
The Nene purchased an AMB20 timing system in 2005 and had its first open meeting in September with over 30 large scale drivers in attendance, This level of attendance was maintained throughout the 2005 and 2006 seasons with drivers traveling from as far as Essex and Yorkshire to experience the Nene at the monthly club meetings.
NVR held its first UK National in May'06, which unfortunately for the club was a wet meeting but despite the weather the meeting went the full distance with Ian Oddie taking a first national win at the Nene.
Like most clubs in 2007 the Nene suffered llike most clubs with the bad weather and decided to embark on switching to an all weather facility for the 2008 season.
During the spring and summer months in 2008 the crew built an allweather track which draw crowds of races attending its opening and national meetings that year.
The club was selected to host the 2009 Large Scale British Grand Prix and in support of the Dunmore family who had suport the club during its make the committee of the Nene decided that the GP meeting would be in support of the cystic fibrosis trust in memory of the Dunmores daughters who both ahd died from this deises.
