Nene Valley Raceway Off Road Model Car Club welcomes members from all the main off road scales from 1/10th to Large Scale and has an active 1/8th and Large Scale section.
The club has both adult and junior national and international racers within its membership.
2010 has been a difficult year for the club but on July 31st the club reopened on Airfield road (the approach road to Santa Pod). Click the images to see how we looked on the 31st July..
The club reopended following 6 weeks of work undertaken by its members and friends following the planning concent in May to build one of the premier off road model car facilities in the area.
The opening meeting was attended by both rallycross and large scale racers from as far south as Cornwall and Essex, Manchester and above in the North and Sleford in the East.
The clubs 2010 winter series commences on the 12th September and in October the venue will be hosting the final round of the BRCA Large Scale Off Road series on the the 10th. Practice commences on the 9th with Ian Oddie the newly crowned European large scale off road champ will be in attendance.

Just after 12 on Saturday the 31st July the new airfield road track was opened with Mark Cove and Glyn Taylor doing a few laps of the track.
Despite Glyn's later accident when his car entered the corn field the opening went without an hitch. For 6 hours rally cross and large scale vehicles attacked the track with lap times dropping has the sand left the track.
Sunday was a fantastic meeting and thank you to all those who took part no matter the scale and we look forward to seeing you all back again soon.

With only hours to go before the noon reopening of the Nene I can now confirm that this weekend meeting will see live results feed back to the website as they happen (well within minutes!)

It gives me great pleasure to announce that on the 12th May 2010 the Nene Valley Raceway Off Road Model Car Clubs planning application to develop our new facility near to the Santa Pod Raceway was approved by the local council.
Please watch the website and forum for details on our future plans and work parties.
It will not be long before you are able to race again at the Nene.
