The transformation of the Nene is gathering pace with the rostrum now rebuilt. The Nene needs its members and friends to help provide assistance at the following work parties to continue our rebirth

1st June, 7 & 8th June

20th , 28th & 29th June

5th & 6th July - Driver permitting,

12th & 13th July, 26th & 27th July

3rd August, 10th August

The first lorry load of astroturf arrived @ 1pm on the 27th May and was followed by a further 4 vehicles with the last delivery made on the 29th May

Each roll delivered is 4m wide

Forget about working out at the gym come and assist the Nene.

The BRCA committee and the Nook Raceway have agreed that the venues for Rounds 7 and 5 of the LSOR can switch to allow the new Nene to get established. Thanks Guys

Some of the work parties will become weekend events and as such post your interest in attending on our forum.

Have no fear the committee at the Nene will ensure that the new track will retain the drivers favorite long straight and sweeping curves. The track will also see some built in landscaping so expect the unexpected from your local all weather facility.

The club is based on the outskirts of Wymington, just south of Rushden and are affiliated to the BRCA (British Radio Car Association) and run vehicles inline with the associations guidelines.

We are situated just off the A6 near White Gold Centre, with the sound of Santa Pod in the background within the rolling east northamptonshire countryside, can you spot us below?

When reopened the club meets most Sunday's for bashing, racing and generally enjoying our sport.

For the past 3 seasons the club had one of the largest large scale off road tracks in the UK with a suitably sized rostrum to match and this will continue in 2008

The Nene caters for all levels of racers, young and old, new and experienced and has within its members some of the most competitive racers in the UK and the 2006 LSOR junior champion.

New members are always welcome, so if our website has wet your appetite then please call in to the club on one of our track days in 2008 and one of our committee members will be glad to answer any questions you may.

The Nene WISHES TO THANK ALL THOSE WHO VISITED THE NVR for the two rounds of the LSOR National which it held in 2007. The last of these meetings was held during the national motorsports week and was featured on the local Northamptonshire radio & in the local press.

The Nene will be holding one round of the BRCA LSOR championship this season, in September.

Keep watching for news on the Nene, it will not be long before we reopen again with an all weather astroturf track some 40m by 60m in size.

The track will be suitable for all sizes of rc racing.
