If you are onsite and reading this then by now you will be relaxing ahead of the weekends events, if you are reading this online and are able to get to the Nene before the main final is run on Sunday afternoon then please come along and help support the Nenes quest to maximise the money raised for the Cystic Fibrosis trust.

Those local will remember the article to the right which reveals the tragic news of the deaths of the Nene's landlords daughters. Both sadly past away within 20 months of each other and the Nene felt it appropriate that this meeting should be our main event to support the Cystic Fibrosis trust.

The club thanks all those drivers currently attending the British Grand Prix at the Nene and to those who have contributed to make this meeting a success both as an event and financially.

Timetable

The Nene will be open from Wednesday the 26th August to enable drivers to register, relax and explore the area.

The GP weekend will commence with open practice on Friday morning, followed after lunch with three timed sessions for seeding of the qualification heats on Saturday.

Saturday will see three rounds of qualification heats and lower finals.

Saturday night will be party night at the Nene, when a live band and a hog roast (nominal charge) will be available so bring a bottle or two!!

Sunday will see the remaining finals being run with the main final commencing around 3pm followed by the prize giving at 16:00hrs.

Councilor Mercer (Mayor of Rushden) will perform this honor.

A catering unit will be onsite from Thursday night ready to serve cooked breakfasts on Friday morning.

The current event timetable for the weekend is :

Weather permitting at 15:41 on the 28th August the Nene will be visited by the United Kingdoms Royal Air Force Aerobatic Display Team. To enable all meeting attendees to see this a break will be taken between 15:30 and 16:00. So have those camera's ready and pointing down across the Nene Valley Track. We hope you enjoy this visit by the worlds premier aerobatic display team and there amazing BAe Hawk aircraft.

On Site Rules

Only one vehicle\tent per racer within the pitting area. Those with caravans are to park up and leave their caravan in the pit area and then remove their vehicle and park it in the designated area.

Those camping and long term parking are to use the inner area of the quad track or park in the cropped field facing the club.

All dogs are to be kept on their leads at all times and all waste should be collected and disposed off correctly

When you leave the site could you please ensure you leave it how you found it!

No speeding when you cross in front of the Quad center or whilst traveling down the lane.

No running of engines until 9.30am or as directed by race control

All vehicles to conform to EFRA and BRCA guidelines

No vehicles are to be driven within the pit area. They should be carried to the pit table and started from here

No loud music and please be considerate to your neighbors who are camping next to you and the local residents

On Site Results

This meeting is being timed using BBKrc and via this software track side results are available to anyone with a WIFI enabled computer or PDA.

If you wish to bring your laptop and want to participate in gaining your lap times and results before they get posted then download bbkrcnetscreen from the bbksoftware web site or locally here and come along to race control and pick up a set of instructions and passwords which you will need to gain access to the Nene's wifi network* if demand is too great then it will be configured for first come first served.

Technology permitting it is anticipated to have live track side results forwarded to the Nene's home page.
