Following the announcement earlier this week from the Government about the lifting of the current lockdown restrictions and clarification from the BRCA on what can be undertaken moving forward.
I can confirm that from the 29th March the Nene will be reopening in line with the guidance issued by the BRCA over the coming weeks and from the 8th of March the Nene will be looking at opportunities to get the venue back into racing condition having been closed since mid December.
Please keep an eye out for our work parties which will be undertaken in a Covid safe environment.
Unfortunately due to the opening round of the BRCA LSOR series occurring 48hours prior to the 29th March this can not occur and is currently being rescheduled. The first 2021 visiting series will be the opening round of the 2021 Nitro-X series over the May Bank holiday weekend 2/3rd May.
Alongside the visiting series the club anticipates running a summer series so please watch out for those dates once we are back up and running.
With light now appearing at the end of the tunnel can I remind any member who has not reviewed either their BRCA or club membership it is time to reconsider doing so has the club membership enables us to continue to offer you a first class venue and gets us through hard times like the current period which has seen us maintain our landlord payments in full.
I look forward to seeing you trackside in the near future and please support your local club has without your support your local club may not be around for you to enjoy your form of motorsport.
Darren Worth, NVR Chairman
